David W. Beier Biography

David Beier is Vice President Al Gore's Chief Domestic Policy Advisor.  He advises Gore on a broad range of domestic issues, with a focus on the economy and technology.  Beier previously worked as the chief lobbyist for biotech company Genentech, Inc., where he developed expertise in intellectual property, taxation, health care, and other issues.  Beier is also a lawyer who worked for about ten years for the House Judiciary Committee under former Rep. Kastenmeier (D-WI).
